Arthur David Barnes' Obituary
Arthur "Art" David Barnes our beloved husband, father, uncle, brother-in-law and friend passed away June 8, 2011 from cancer. Art was born August 30, 1942 to Raymond & Francis Barnes. He spent his early childhood in Lewistown MT, later moved to the Salt Lake Valley. He served in the United States Air Force and learned to work on microwaves and electronics. He later took those skills to Utah Power where he retired in 1998 after 32 years. He loved to fly model airplanes and anything to do with electronics. He never met a DI he didn’t like. Art married Sharon Campbell and they had a son David Jeremy. Art raised David and their relationship was truly remarkable. He joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in 1988 and served faithfully in several callings. He enjoyed going to the temple and did so often. He married Kim Keech Pullan on January 7, 1994 and he tells everyone that the last 17 years have been the happiest. He is survived by his loving wife, Kim; his son, David (Sarah); his two granddaughters, Britton & Olivia; and all the Keech clan and many friends. Words cannot express our gratitude to the Memorial Ward family for their love and support. Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, June 14, 2011 at the Memorial Ward building, 4255 South 4800 West, West Valley City. Viewing will be on Monday, June 13, 2011 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the church and from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. on Tuesday. Burial will follow the services at the South Jordan Cemetery, where military honors will be performed by the United States Air Force.
