Arthur Lee Bishop III's Obituary
Arthur Lee Bishop (Lee) passed away peacefully on September 13, 2020. He is survived by his wife, Camie, six children: Cindy (Ted) Davis, Ceri (Brooks) Wait, Ari (Catherine) Bishop, Ian Bishop, Joseph Bishop, and Walter Bishop along with eleven beautiful grandchildren: Katie Grace, Celeste, Eli Davis; Camille, Jonathan, Miel Wait; Moroni, Riley, Brendon Bishop; and Olivia, Ellie Bishop. Lee is also survived by his brothers Brian (Margaret) Bishop, Dale Bishop and Eric (Pam) Bishop.
Lee was born on October 28th, 1944 in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Arthur L. Bishop and Jean Mirleen Whitehead, who preceded him in death.
He grew up in Murray, Utah, where he attended Murray High School and served as Student Body President. He went to the University of Utah where he served in many leadership positions, receiving several academic awards and honors.
He also graduated from the University's law school.
Lee served an LDS mission in Austria, a country and people that he grew to love dearly. He also served in the Utah National Guard for eight years.
On July 7, 1977 Lee married Camie Kipping. They were sealed in the Salt Lake City Temple.
Lee spent his life helping many people in the Salt Lake area as an attorney. He was an avid fisherman and spent many hours outdoors. Reading, was also enjoyed by Lee. He served in many capacities in the Lion's Club and in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. He will always be remembered for his love of God and Country. Two sayings Lee was fond of are: Winston Churchill's "keep calm and carry on.....never, never, never give up." And, "Other things may change, but we start and end with family." Lee will be greatly missed by us all.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00 am, Thursday, September 17, 2020 at the Murray City Cemetery, 5490 South Vine Street, Murray, Utah.
