Ashley April Holtkamp's Obituary
Our sweet angel, Ashley April Holtkamp, passed away on September 8, 2013, after a tragic accident left her in a coma for 12 days.
This sweet, lovable, young woman will be missed by all her family and friends. We are all deeply saddened by her passing and our hearts ache for her.
Ashley was born on March 23, 1991, to Travis Michael Holtkamp and Kaylynn Taylor Razo.
Ashley spent many of her early years living in Taylorsville on the family’s small farm, where she would feed the cows, chickens and rabbits. Ashley also lived in Oregon for a number of years, making many new friends as well as a great love for the ocean.
Ashley had many passions. She loved camping, hunting and fishing. She would always look forward to the great outdoors and spending time with Dad and Uncle Mario, as well as her brothers and sisters. Music was also a big part of Ashley’s life. She once said, if she had a choice to be blind or deaf, she would choose blind, for if she was deaf, she could not hear the music.
She was also deeply religious. She enjoyed worshiping God and sharing the “Good News” with others.
She was easy to love, because no matter whom you were or what you did, Ashley would love you unconditionally. She had an infectious smile and flamboyant personality. She was a servant to all.
At the time of her death, Ashley was training to be a Cosmetologist. She made many great friends while at Taylor-Andrews Academy. We are sure all of her friends and teachers will miss her immensely.
She was always “up” on the latest fashions and hairstyles. She would wear some of the craziest outfits and hairdo’s. The crazy thing was, she would always pull it off and looked absolutely beautiful in the process.
New hairstyles, no problem, Ashley was the guinea pig, donating her own head of hair to be used by the students to cut and color on.
She was never afraid. She was freethinking and independent, courageous and brave. She loved all she came in contact with and we are sure that Ashley was welcomed back to her Saviors side.
Ashley leaves behind her loving Father; Travis (Andie) Holtkamp. Her Mother; Kaylynn (T.J.) Razo and her brothers and sisters; Dakota, Alissa, Ambri, Dominick and Gabbi. Numerous Grandparents and Great Grandparents, as well as Aunts and Uncles, cousins and friends, will all miss her. Heaven just got sweeter when Ashley passed away.
At the time of her passing, Ashley was pregnant with a baby boy! Ashley named the child; Clay T. Holtkamp. We are confident in knowing that Ashley and Clay are in heaven and both of them have their wings, and they are probably hiking to a prime camping spot on the rich soils of heaven, just about now.
We will love and miss you Ashley and Clay.
