The first time I met Ashley I picked her up with my ex-girlfriend and we rolled through Orem doing nothing of interest except talking. Still, the night has stuck in memory as a favorite. Ashley had her fair few challenges, but they did not define her as a human being. What defined Ashley was the inextinguishable love she held for all those in her life. Ashley pushed to see the beauty in all those around her and only asked the same in return.
Ashley was the reason my lIttle Sophie finally started attending nursery... She had extreme stranger anxiety. Since Ashley was serving in the nursery at the time we had her come babysit a few times. Sophie loved her and started going. We will always be thankful for that:)
Ashley was a lot of fun to be around when we went to Italy, Switzerland, and France for European History class back in high school. She had a big smile, and was a friend to me, even though I was super awkward around girls at that age! I'm sorry to hear of her passing.
We are so sorry. There is nothing like losing a perceptive young child (I'm old). Our thoughts are with your family. We love you and your darling girl.

I was blessed to be Ashley's sponsor and she taught me so much. Ashley had the desire to get better and fought hard to overcome many of the things that she believed about herself. She was a light and has a love that drew others to her. Her humor and intelligence was a wonder often left me in awe. My life was better because Ashley was part of it and her loss I'd felt deeply. My prayers are with her family and friends as I feel how hard this is for you. I know that Ashley is free from the pain she felt while on this earthly life and now knows her beauty and worth. Fly free Ash and know we love and will miss you, always!
I remember meeting Ashley at Lynnette Grant's house when she was living there for a short time-- she was so kind and always looking to enjoy each day :) I am grateful I got to meet her, even if it was briefly. I know that the Plan of Salvation is real and that your family can be together once again. I know Jesus Christ is always mindful of each of you, and in Him you will find the strength to carry on.
