Aspen Rae Anderson's Obituary
Aspen Rae Anderson, 29, passed away on September 30, 2022, after a hard-fought battle with a rare form of cancer known as angiosarcoma. Aspen battled her disease valiantly with dignity and grace to the very end and left this life surrounded by loved ones.
Aspen grew up in Magna, Utah and graduated from Cyprus High School in 2011. She worked at Discover Card in West Valley for eleven years where she served as a Team Leader and was attending classes through Wilmington University working toward a Bachelors’ Degree in Business Management. Aspen loved her job and her Discover Card family. She enjoyed spending time with her beloved dog Archer, camping, hiking, playing games, and watching movies, especially scary ones. Aspen absolutely loved life. She was a prankster with a contagious laugh and a wicked sense of humor. She was stubborn and stoic and was not afraid of anything life threw at her, she was fierce and faced every challenge head-on. Aspen did not do anything half-way, once committed she was all in and made sure everything was perfect.
Aspen and her older brother Jeremy were inseparable, he was her best friend and partner in crime from the moment she was born. Aspen was always surrounded by friends and family and they meant more to her than words can describe. She will be dearly missed and always remembered by those who knew and loved her.
Aspen was proceeded in death by her grandmother Charolet Mecham and is survived by her parents, MaLiesa Rae Anderson and Heather M. Weymouth; her brother Jeremy James Anderson; her grandparents Wayne and Vickie Lott; grandfather Clifford Mecham; her aunts and uncles Tricia and Jason Smith, Gene Nichols, Cheryl Nichols, and Jenny and Craig Hughes; and many cousins. Aspen requested a celebration of life be held in her honor as opposed to traditional funeral services. We request all of Aspen’s family and friends to join us in celebrating her beautiful life at Millennial Falls in Draper, Utah on Saturday October 22, 2022 from 10:30 am to 2:00 pm.
