Atalina Purcell Taula Hunt's Obituary
It is with great sadness to announce our mother, Atalina Purcell Taula Hunt, 80,
passed away Friday, September 2, 2022, in West Valley City, Utah. Atalina was
born December 12, 1941, in Malaela, Samoa to Iosefa and Senia Purcell. She was
the second youngest of eight children.
Atalina was a beloved mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, who dedicated
her life helping others as a nurse. She was active in the LDS church. Mom served
a mission in New Zealand and held many callings. She had a strong testimony of
the gospel of Jesus Christ and was an example to her family and those around
her.
Most of all she loved spending time with family, especially her grandchildren.
The pure joy radiating from her face was breathtaking. She wanted nothing more
for them than to have a wonderful life.
Mom is survived by her children: Phillip (Kainoa), Ruby (Robert), Ida,
Junior (Natalie), Stephanie (Chafer). 18 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
A private celebration of life will be held at Memorial Cemetery in West Jordan,
Utah.
