How does one describe a gentle, magnificently kind, delightful, lovely lady adequately? Barbara Dallon had all those qualities and so many more. Some specific memories of Sister Dallon are listening to her excellent talk in a Sacrament meeting in the Palmyra Ward about making the most of the the dash in our lives. With Sister Dallon, her dash was 87 years 1937-2024 and she filled those years loving and serving her Savior and others. Sister Dallon is truly a role model for me in making the most of the dash in my life.

One cannot remember and think of Sister Dallon without her beloved President Dale Dallon. In 2000, the local church members in the newly created Palmyra Temple district were overjoyed when we read that the Dallons were going to be Temple President and Matron. Our reaction was, "They are one of us!" What beautiful examples they were of dedicated uplifting leaders. It was a spiritual treat to be in the temple office with them each week. And, a special experience was Sister Dallon being with our daughter before her marriage in the temple. The Dahnekes love the Dallons.

Loved this lady and she was the epitome of a lady. She will always be remembered here in Kingsport TN. I am a friend of her daughter Lynda whom I love like a sister. I know she is happy reunited with her sweetheart

We are grateful for the friendship and relationship that we share with Dale and Barbara and family. We have been blessed and influenced for good because the Lord and Rochester had the Dallons in place when we moved our family there. We treasure our memories and the good times we've shared. We're happy that seven of our grand children and sixteen of our greats are co-sponsored with Dale and Barbara. Barbara is an elect lady and lived a life of service and love. She will be missed here, but no doubt there is rejoicing in heaven. Thankful that the gospel of Jesus Christ assures us that life is eternal and that our relationships continue on. May peace and comfort be with all of the Dallon family.

Barbara was one of the most gracious, caring and loving women I have ever known! Our acquaintance began when we arrived in Brockport, NY only to find that the home we had purchased was not ready. With four children (and penniless after just having finished a doctorate), Dale and Barbara didn't hesitate to invite us into their home for two weeks, though her mother was already visiting from Utah. I don't remember where we all slept! Thus began a dear friendship that has lasted 53 years. For a short while, they lived just through the block from us in Pittsford, NY. Knowing how I would miss her when they moved to Tennessee, my husband went right to the garden store, purchased several rose bushes, planted them in our front yard and called it "The Barbara Dallon Memorial Rose Garden"! (She also grew beautiful roses.) Through all the kindness and love, Barbara suffered greatly. We thank Dale for taking such good care of her. When Lynda called to tell me the news, I didn't know whether to cry or shout "hurray!" Though we will miss her greatly, Heaven will be all the better with her "graduation"..... With Honors, I dare say.

I remember as a kid trying to fit into grandma and grandpa's luggage. Also, I remember her teaching me how to eat politely when I had pancakes. To take smaller bites and keep my arms off the table. She was always gentle in her directions.

I remember listening to her and mom many times talk about her nails, trying to figure out how to strengthen them because they were getting fragile and would split.

I loved when we’d come visit her as an adult, she’d have some type of polite/proper snack prepared for the time of day. Like little tiny sandwiches for an early snack in the day.

I loved talking to grandma on the phone, she always made me feel loved and she was interested in mine and my family's life, but she also was aware of my feelings about being uncomfortable on the phone and always knew when to cut the conversation. She was so good about calling to check on me and my kids when we were going through big things and struggling.

I love her and miss her already.
