We’ve reached the conclusion of our heroine’s story, and though Barbara Karen Cherry Elliott did not win the battle against the super-villain, Carcinoid Cancer, she was the victor many times in her 73 years. Mother to 8, a degree Read Obituary

It seems just yesterday when Barbara and I served together in the RS Presidency. She knew how to show love to every sister and friend in our ward boundaries so well. But she was so much fun; we laughed often together. One day, I was really upset about something and I'd talked to her at length about my "woes". She knew always what to say and how to get me focused on the positive. I hung up feeling better, but still a little "pouty. About an hour later, I answered a knock on my door to find Barbara ready to give me a hug and an absolutely huge Hershey's chocolate bar! She said, "Chocolate always makes everything a little brighter." I've never forgotten her influence in my life and can't wait to greet her again.

Barbara and her family here on this earth, I was so greatful to find her as a distant cousin to further the work of our Lord. I pray and know, she will continue to help me from the other side of the vail to bring to pass our family's temple work. For those in your immediate family, please stay in contact with me for this critical connection in a line that was lost due to adopton. Your G. or G.G. Grandmother, Nora Wyrick was my G. Grandfathers sister. We are the only members of the church in our side of the family. Please contact me for re-connecting with our genealogy. Your Mother's fighting spirit was amazing. I was so thankful for the short time I spoke with her via Facebook. Love and condolence's to all. Till we meet again.

Will miss my big sister. She never liked me calling her my “big” sister. She would say “I’m your older sister, not your big sister.”
She was an accomplished pianist. She and Mother would sometimes play a duet on the old upright piano we had. The song was “Heart and Soul”. I remember it like it was yesterday. I can see them at the piano trying hard to stay in time with each other.
Until we meet again, rest now.
