Barbara Griego's Obituary
Our loving, sweet, and sassy mother, grandmother and great grandmother passed away from stage 4 lung cancer peacfully and surrounded by love, On April 11, 2020 in Murray, Utah. The daughter of Oscar Osborn and Lois Jean Osborn. Barbara was born on July 26, 1944 in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Barbara loved to make quilts, sew, dance, ride roller coasters, and bake and cook. She loved her animals, especially her horses. She enjoyed camping , riding in the canyons and participated in many rodeos; her favorite event to ride in was barrel racing. She rode with the Silver Spur riding club for many years.
More than anything mom loved to get together and spend time with her family. She loved to host holiday gatherings, baking and cooking for her family and friends. She was happiest when she was with her family and good friends.
Barbara always spoke her mind, taught her children to be kind, caring, strong, hardworking , indpendent individuals. She had a heart of gold, loyal as they came, but most of all loved with her whole heart.
Barbara is preceeded in death by, her father ( Oscar Osborn) , her mother ( Lois Jean Osborn) her, brother ( Glenn Osborn) , her beloved daughter ( Becky Hewitt) .
Barbara is survived by her loving husband John Griego, her children, Rick Griego, Kim Westenskow ( Scott), Jonathon Griego ( Melissa). Her grand-children: Jayme, Tyler, Savanna, Brittany, Zach, Seth, Max, Hayden, Cayden, Allie and Tosha. Her great-grandchildren: Tayven, Maelynn, Motlee, Brooklyn, and Joclyn. Her sisters from another mother. Linda Cox ( Wayne) Coleen Macanaley ( Leland).
The family would like to thank Quality Home Hospice care . Her nurses Becky, Makeill, and aide Charlotte, for the wonderful care and compassion you gave her.
As per mom's request , no funeral service will be held. She would want us all to get together and have a good meal together, ride roller coasters, go dancing , ride a horse, and go to a rodeo.
