Barbara Hirst Payne's Obituary
We are deeply saddened to share the passing of Barbara Hirst Payne on May 13, 2024 at the age of 78 after a long illness. She was peaceful and was surrounded by her loving family. Barbara was preceded in passing by her parents and her brothers, Neil and Farrell.
Born May 18, 1945, in Provo, Utah to Sheldon and Alberta Hirst, Barbara was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She and her husband, Harry, served a mission in Roseville, California.
Barbara retired from Intermountain Health Services, where she worked for many years as a Unit Secretary. She was active in the Relief Society and the Primary as well as numerous other activities with her local ward.
Barbara is survived by her loving husband of 59 years, Harry, her 3 sons, Steven, Bryce and Roger. She has 9 grandchildren and multiple great grandchildren all who will miss her dearly.
A viewing will be held at the LDS church located at 1107 W 600 S in Orem on Saturday, May 18, 2024 at 9:30 am, followed by funeral services beginning at 11:00 am. She will be interred at Orem City Cemetery, with the graveside service beginning at 1:00 pm.
