Barbara Jean (Blasius) Sharp's Obituary
Barbara Jean (Blasius) Sharp passed away April 19, 2023 after a long illness. She was born in Indianapolis, Indiana February 25, 1958 to George W Blasius and Mary Jean (Warriner) Blasius.
She graduated in 1978 from Hamilton Southeastern High School in Fishers, IN where she played flute in the band. Afterwards she worked at Howard W. Sams Publishing Company.
She joined The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in May of 1977. She served her mission in Boise, ID for 18 months in the 1990’s. Afterwards she attended Rick’s College (BYU) in Idaho and worked at Coleman College.
She met Glen and was married on July 25, 2004 in Noblesville, Indiana. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Manti Temple in Manti, UT on Oct 11, 2008. They made their home in West Point, UT until their health became necessary to move in an assisted living.
She enjoyed going to Temple, teaching Primary, baking, canning and needlework. She was a wonderful, caring person, always ready to help and will be greatly missed.
She is survived by her husband of 18 years, Glen Sharp; her sisters, Nancy E. Farmer and Sara R. Blasius; brothers, Bruce D. (Darrell) Blasius and David G. Blasius; 2 nieces, 1 nephew, 2 great-nieces and 1 great-nephew and many relatives in Glen’s family. She was proceeded in death by her parents; brothers, Paul E., Andrew T. and Jarrod R. Blasius and nephew, Jason C. Farmer.
Our sincere appreciation to all the health care workers and family for their compassion and dedication to keeping Barbara comfortable and pain free. Internment was at the Clinton City cemetery.
A private gathering was held in her honor by family at an earlier date.
