Barbara Jane Williams' Obituary
Barbara Jane Williams, 93, joined our Heavenly Father from Mt. Olympus Rehabilitation Center on April 5, 2025. She was born on January 29,1932, in Salt Lake City, Utah to Thomas and Laura Williams and graduated high school from Granite High School. She was blessed with her son, Maurey, in 1952 and spent most of her life working a successful career in the medical field.
Barbara loved her family and friends dearly. She loved to help others at Willowood Apartments where she lived for over two decades. She had many passions which included cheering on her favorite sports team, Utah Jazz, shopping, creating amazing arts and crafts for her loved ones, her collection of precious ceramics, Christmas music, and traveling. She was extremely adventurous, especially on her many trips to California when visiting her sister, Fay, and even went parasailing in her late 80’s!
She is survived by her son Maurey (Deb), brother, Homer Williams, grandchildren Desiree Taylor, Brittany Williams, David (Vicki) Bell, four great grandchildren and many nieces’ nephews. She was loved by every single person that had the pleasure of knowing her and will be very missed.
She is preceded in death by her parents Thomas Williams, Laura Williams, stepfather George Dahlen, brothers Glen Williams, Robert Williams and her sister Laura Fay McGonagill.
A viewing will be held on Wednesday, April 9, 2025, from 11:00 – 11:30 a.m. at the LDS Church Hillcrest 5th Ward on 915 East 9045 South, Sandy UT. Services will start at 12:00 p.m. Interment will be held at Elysian Burial Gardens, 1075 East 4580 South.
