Barbara Ann Young's Obituary
Barbara Ann Young was born in Ogden on April 27, 1935 to Bicknell Mathews Bench and Hilda Ann Petersen Bench. She was a graduate from Ogden High School.
Mom married the boy next door, Robert G. Young on February 16, 1953. Together they raised three children. Mom loved playing Bridge and Mahjong with her friends. Mom was a very talented water skier and Artist which she won many awards for.
Mom had careers she loved such as YWCA, European Health Spa and managed the Cameo Room at ZCMI. She loved traveling with her husband in their airplane. Mom raised many poodles and loved them all.
Surviving are her children and spouses: Debra (Bruce) Martineau, Rick (Lou) Young, Pam (Cliff) Jones. Brother Dennis Bench, Sister-in-law Valoy Young Norton and special cousin Jeri (Larry) Eschete 9 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, 1 great great granddaughter and 1 on the way.
Proceeded in death by her husband Robert G. Young, Great grandson Colin Joshua Young. Parents Bicknell and Ann Bench. Father and Mother-in-law Orlando Samuel and Margret Adams Young, Brothers in laws Jim Young, Woodrow Young and wife Elaine Young.
Graveside services for family and friends will be held at The Memorial Gardens of the Wasatch-
Sermon on the Mountain. 1718 Combe Road in South Ogden. September 9, 2023 at 1:00
The family would like to thank Inspiration Hospice nurses Alisha and Dee for their love and compassion for our Mother and the staff at Legacy House.
A celebration of life for the family will be held at a later date.
