Belva Scott Carlson's Obituary
Beautiful, good, kind, valiant daughter of God, Belva Scott Carlson passed away at home November 13, 2010. She was born January 12, 1924, in Mesa, AZ, the first child of Andrew Hunter and Veda Rowley Scott. She graduated from Prescott High School. On March 23, 1951 she married Allen Dayle Carlson in the SL Temple. They made their home is the LA, Calif. area. After retirement they moved to West Jordan, UT. Her service in the LDS Church included 3 full time missions; 1946, E. Central States, and with Allen, 1981, Paraguay & 1988 Atlanta Temple, also 12 years as a worker in the Jordan River Temple. She is survived by her husband; children, Reed and Angie Carlson, Janeen and Mo Myers, Kristie and Jerald Morton; 9 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; sister Ethel Soter. She was preceded in death by siblings Theo and Donal Scott and Zola Jensen; and grandson Brian Carlson. We will celebrate her life with services Friday Nov. 19, at 11:00 a.m. at the Mountain Shadows 7th Ward, 7925 S. 2700 W. Viewing Thursday 7-8 and Friday at 10 at the church. Burial will be in the West Jordan City Cemetery.
