Benedict Joseph Naimo's Obituary
Benedict Joseph Naimo, age 76, passed away July 28, 2021 in Orem, Utah. Born August 28, 1944 in West New York, New Jersey to Michael and Marie Mohr Naimo. Married Jeanette Santa Maria June 6, 1970 in West New York, New Jersey.
Ben was the only boy and youngest of five siblings. As a young adult he loved to race cars. He worked two jobs to support his family: union plumber by day and police officer by night. While working two jobs he coached his two daughters in little league softball and basketball in the Borough of Cliffside Park, NJ. He was a long-time member of the New Jersey Democratic Party, was a member of the negotiations Committee for Plumber’s Local 24, Instructor for the Police Academy in Jersey City, NJ and Bergen Tech Apprenticeship Program in Hackensack, NJ. After moving to Nevada to retire he became the President of his HOA. Ben attended Memorial High School and received his CAM License from the State of Nevada. He retired after 53 years as a plumber with Local 24 and also retired as a deputy Chief of Police in West New York, New Jersey. Benedict received top awards as a sharp shooter.
Benedict is survived by his wife, Jeanette; children Stacey and Michele Naimo; grandchildren Jeni Morales, Diane Naimo and Mason Naimo; great granddaughter Zoe Baker; sister Dawn Orecchio.
Funeral services will be held at 12 noon – 4:00 pm, Monday, August 2, 2021 at Premier Funeral Services, 1160 North 1200 West, Orem, Utah.
