Benjamin Calvin Rice passed away peacefully at home with his wife at his side on April 18, 2016, in South Jordan, Utah. Ben was born October 12, 1938, in San Bernardino, California, to Robert Elzie Rice and Martha Francis Harris. Read Obituary
I've only met him once but that's all I really needed, to see how much of a wonderful guy he was. His heart was filled with nothing but love and honesty. I remember we painted a picture together and he made me look like the artist even though he did most the work. :) He will always be remembered and loved by many :purple_heart:
Tamara, always a tough time when a parent passes. Hang in there, you and your family are in my thoughts and Prayers.
Daddy was the person who could find humor in anything. So many times we should have been in trouble and all Dad could do was laugh at us or what we did. No matter how hard times got, he always had a joke or a funny take on a song to sing. It was impossible to stay down when he was around, always making the world more fun.
I remember having the best talks with Brother Rice when I was a missionary. He had such a strong testimony and wasn't afraid to share it. I will always remember the twinkle in his eye and his snowy white hair. He had such a special spirit. Right before I got transferred he painted me a picture that I placed in my desk my whole mission and is now placed on my dresser because it is one of my most favorite things I took home from my mission. He was a wonderful wonderful man and will be missed!
