January 28,1953 - December 9,2019
Our loving husband, father, and grandfather Bennett “Ben” L. Atwood peacefully passed away on Monday December 9th at The Lodge at Jordan River assisted living center in South Jordan at the age of 66. He was born on January 28,1953 in Vernal, UT to Clarence LeRoy Atwood and Gloria Young.
Bennett and Ellen Rose Atwood sealed in the Oquirrh Mountain Temple on July 7,2015. Ben is survived by his wife Ellen Rose Atwood, His Daughter Ellen Marie Atwood, Step-Daughter Kyndra Rose Pye, Step-Son Scott Barningham, Step-Daughter Roxanne Rambo. Grandchildren: David Hernandes, Jazmin Aguilar, Morgon Barningham, Taylor Rambo, and Alexis Rambo. Great Grandchildren: Sofia Aguilar and Devante Morton. Brothers: Danny Atwood, Owen Atwood (passed away), Jay Atwood, Gary Atwood and Boyd Atwood (passed away).
Bennett is loved by so many and will be greatly missed. He was a wonderful and kind man. He loved to go fishing and enjoyed being outside. He enjoyed family time, holidays, and he loved to give gifts to his loved ones when he was able to. It gave him joy to make his friends and family happy and making them laugh with jokes he would make. He also had a very funny personality that he showed really well in pictures!
Funeral Services will be on Saturday, December 14, 2019 and will be held at Meadowbrook 3rd Ward 1457 W. Atherton Dr. Salt Lake City, 84123 to reminisce, grieve, and celebrate the life of a truly beautiful soul. Viewing will start at 9:30 am - 10:45 am and Funeral at 11:00 am.
