Beth Larue Hurst's Obituary
Beth LaRue Hurst age 88 passed away peacefully at Mountain View Hospital on Oct. 28, 2016. She was preceded in death by her oldest daughter Dian Luschen who loved and supported her for several years in Reno, NV. She spent the final 5 years of her life with her oldest son Allen Hurst in Payson, UT.
She is survived by Allen Hurst, Marilyn Farley, Karen Davis, Glen Hurst (Cristy), Jim Hurst(Karen), Gary Hurst(Maryann) and many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and a few great great grandchildren as well who loved her very much.
Her funeral will be held on Wednesday Nov. 2,2016 in the Payson Mountain View 8th Ward chapel at 789 E. Arrowhead Trail ( 700 North ) in Payson, UT. The viewing will be held in the 8th Ward chapel prior to the funeral from 10:00 AM to 12:30PM with the funeral services at 1:00 PM. She will be buried in the Payson City Cemetery.
She was born Dec. 24, 1927 to Peter and Edith VanValkenburg and was raised on a dairy farm in Union, UT so she knew how to work hard and taught her children the advantages of hard work.
She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She served a Mission in Southern California and was a temple worker at the Jordan River Utah temple. She set a good example to her children of the importance of including Jesus Christ in their lives.
She will be missed by those who loved and cared for her.
