As Beth's neighbor, friend, Bishop and Hometeacher, she was a joy to know and interact with. She was always so faithful attending every ward activity no matter what it was. She always walked the block from her house to the church. Her smile was infectious and all of our ward members loved to be around her. I loved visiting her in her home and hearing about the latest books she had read. Even in her later years when she wasn't able to get out much, she always had that smile and twinkle in her eye. She will be long remembered in our neighborhood and ward.

When I saw your mom's name in the paper today, I thought of all the wonderful times spent at your house. Your mom always made you feel special. What an awesome woman! I have many good memories of Beth as a youth growing up in the 34th and then the 61st Ward. Always such a sweet and gentle woman. Her dear husband John was an influence in my life as well. During my rebellious years he took me flying. An experience I remember to this day.
My sincere condolences to John, Bethanne and all the family.
