Betty Hollingsworth Campbell's Obituary
Betty Hollingsworth Campbell, 75, our amazing mom, grandma, great-grandma, sister and friend returned home July 18 to her Father in Heaven to be with her husband Jay and grandson Brody.
Betty was born 30 Jan 1947 in Tooele, Utah with her twin brother Bud. Growing up in a family of 10 kids made life fun and lively. She loved to dance and could jitterbug like a pro! Betty would still dance around the kitchen if the music was loud and the beat solid.
She graduated from Preston High School and earned a Dental Assistant Degree from Southern California College. Betty worked hard and was quick to learn any job. She retired as a Medical Apparatus Quality Inspector.
Betty would say her greatest accomplishment was her family. She was blessed with 3 beautiful children- Randy, Denice, and Shane Gordon. She was a kind and loving grandma. Her dog Fayth, was a companion in life and protector in death.
Betty enjoyed life. She liked to do all kinds of puzzles, and was a powerful competitor in any game. She loved to travel with her sisters, especially to a new temple. She indexed thousands of names for Family Search and attended the temple weekly with her wonderful sisters.
Betty was preceded in death by her eternal companion Jay and her sweet grandson Brody, also her parents Newell & Avila Hollingsworth and five siblings.
She is survived by her 3 children Randy, Denice and Shane Gordon, 3 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, her siblings Newell Junior, Janet, Darla, Joy, David and many family and friends who love and will miss her.
You are invited to a celebration of her life Thursday, July 28, from 5-8 at the Farr West First Ward, 1800 N 1800 W in Farr West.
