Betty Jean Clark's Obituary
Betty Jean Clark, 78, of West Valley City, Utah, passed away Friday January 17, 2014. She proceeds in death by her parents Fritz and Leah, her brother Jackie and her sons Michael and Steven.
She was born to the late Fritz Hertzig and Leah Parker, Nov. 27, 1935, in Salt Lake City, Utah. Betty worked as a waitress at Dees Restaurant for many years near Temple Square until retiring. Betty was an avid fisherman and could always be found in her spare time with a fishing pole in her hands near a river or a lake. Betty loved nothing more than to be in the great outdoors fishing than perhaps spending time with her beloved dog luggy. Luggy was Betty’s constant loving companion for the last twelve years until Luggy’s untimely passing in October of 2013.
Betty is survived by her three children Janet (Jeff) Losee of South Jordan, Utah, Sheryl (Anthony) Adams of West Valley City, Utah and Jack Benjamin of Salt Lake City, Utah. She is also survived by nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
The family would like to thank her nurses Kimmie and Kellie from Canyons Care Facility and Silver Creek for the wonderful care in Betty’s time of need.
A private ceremony was held for immediate family. Betty will never be forgotten and we know that she is lovingly looking down on us with her beloved Luggy and a fishing pole in her hand watching over us waiting until we meet again.
