Billy "Bill" Gene Case's Obituary
Bill Gene Case, 81, of Salt Lake City, died on Saturday, July 7, 2012 at a care facility with Alzheimer’s.
Bill was born on October 24, 1930 in Gilmer, TX to Sally Davidson and William Case. He graduated from West High School in 1948. He soon joined the United States Navy and served in Korea on the USS Boxer, he was also stationed in Japan and the Philippines. Bill retired from the Navy after he faithfully served his country.
Bill married Gloria Goodman on October 3, 1957 and together they have lived in West Valley City since 1965.
Bill enjoyed golfing, camping and fishing. He was a lifetime member of the VFW. He loved sports, and was a fastball softball pitcher throughout his Navy career.
Bill is survived by his wife, Gloria Gail Case; children, Linda (Scott Redington) Case, Kathy (Dave) Kleinman and Laura Case Almond; grandchildren, Tyler, Lindsee, Kade, Dylan and Kael; and two great-grandchildren.
Private family services will be held at a later date.
The family would like to express their gratitude to the Silverado Hospice and to their amazing nurse Aimee Sheppick for the loving care given to Bill.
