Blaine Stowell Butler June 7, 1930 — February 5th, 2026
Blaine Stowell Butler passed away peacefully on February 5th, 2026, at his home in Orem, UT. He was born on June 7, 1930, in Driggs, Teton County, Idaho, to Asa Milton Butler and Mable Claire Wallace.
Blaine was preceded in death by his beloved wife Barbara W Gillette (November 27, 2024) and his daughter Ariana Butler (January 21, 2022).
He is survived by his children, Mitchel Butler (Rosemary), Cynthia Butler, Craig Butler (Michelle), Lisa Johnson (Kurt), Tony Butler (Karolyn), and Gina Wescott (Marty), as well as 30 grandchildren and 32 great-grandchildren.
Blaine was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He had impeccable manners, a dry wit, and a vast knowledge of everything from world geography, to vocabulary, to the law, and more.
We will all miss him dearly, but we know he is well-received and happy in a new and exciting realm of existence.
