Blanche Cynthia Ervin-Ruggles' Obituary
Blanche Cynthia Ervin-Ruggles, age 92, of South Jordan, Utah, passed away peacefully on December 17, 2024. Born on July 23, 1932, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Blanche lived a long, full, and impactful life. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, wife, and friend, known for her love, kindness, and unwavering commitment to service.
Blanche was the beloved wife of Allen R. Ervin (deceased) and later married Hyrum P. Ruggles, who survives her. She was a proud mother to Cynthia E. Schroeder, Mark A. G. Ervin, and Matthew B. Ervin. Blanche was a loving grandmother to her grandchildren, and her influence reached far beyond her immediate family. Her warmth, wisdom, and strong faith left an indelible mark on all who knew her.
A convert to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Blanche was a faithful servant of the Lord. She held many callings throughout her life, always lifting and supporting others. Her faith was the foundation of her character, and her commitment to serving others was evident in everything she did. In addition to her spiritual service, Blanche had a successful career as a salesperson, where her dedication to helping others further exemplified her kind and giving nature.
Blanche’s kindness was matched only by her remarkable strength, and her influence will be felt for generations. She made the world a better place with every life she touched and will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing her.
An intimate family gathering to honor Blanche’s life will be held on December 27, 2024, at Premier Funeral Services in Roy, Utah. A viewing will be held prior to the service. Following the viewing, a graveside service will take place at 1:00 pm at Myers Evergreen Memorial Park in Ogden, Utah.
Blanche’s family extends their heartfelt thanks to all those who have supported them during this time of loss. Your love and prayers have been a comfort.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints humanitarian efforts in her memory.
