Bonita Nielsen Corry
1932 – 2022
Our sweet mother, Bonita (Bonnie) Nielsen Corry passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 17, 2022. She passed away in her home surrounded by loving family members.
Bonnie was born on May 19th, 1932 to Earl and Margaret Elizabeth (Bessie) Nielsen. Bonnie married our father, William Heyborne Corry on July 7, 1954, in Nephi, Utah. Together they raised three children: William Niel Corry, Bonnie Jean Corry, and Robert H. Corry.
Bonnie was a dedicated member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served faithfully in many callings. She was a member of the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers and president of the American Legion Auxiliary Post 28 for ten years. Bonnie worked for the Nebo School District for over 20 years in the school lunch program.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William (Bill) Heyborne Corry, her parents, Earl and Bessie Nielsen, and her sister, Sharleen Allred. Bonnie is survived by her sister, Margaret (Bob), and brother, Lawrence (Bonnie), and her children William Niel Corry (Teresa), Bonnie Jean Corry, and Robert H. Corry (Cecilia). She is also survived by 8 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. We love her and will miss her so much!
Funeral services 11:00 a.m., Saturday, Sept 24, 2022 at the Spring Creek 12th Ward, 235 East 550 North, Springville, UT where a viewing will be prior to services from 9:30 to 10:45 am. Interment in the Orem City Cemetery.
