Bonnie Gaye Openshaw's Obituary
Bonnie Openshaw of Roy, Utah passed away peacefully July 30, 2026, at Seasons Assisted Living surrounded by all her family. She was born in Murray, Utah on Aug 14, 1940, to Gilbert and Ilene Oliver. She Graduated from Weber High in 1958. She married her junior high and high school sweetheart James M. Openshaw on Nov 3, 1959, at the home of her brother Max Oliver in Roy Utah. She was employed by Davis Hospital as a phlebotomist for 23 years. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ Latter-day saints where she had many callings.
She was proceeded in death by her husband James M. Openshaw, brothers Don Oliver, Max Oliver, Norman Oliver, Robert Oliver. Sisters Beth Spraycar, Lillie Zito, Reah Ressler.
She is Survived by her children James (Mandie) Openshaw, Gaye (Dave) Palmer and Scott (Deon) Openshaw. Grandchildren Lashay Openshaw, David (Tracy) Palmer, Kari (McKay) Nichols, Phillip (Christa) Openshaw, Jake (Chelsey) Openshaw, Taylor (Ryan) Bernard, Brooke Openshaw. Step Grandchildren Kandis Lee Egbert, Oscar Egbert and Kenny Egbert.
Great Grandchildren; Deven, Kade, and Caleb Palmer, Drew, Treyson, Kohen Nichols, James, William, Oliver, Rachael Openshaw, Aiden Steven, Fynn, lucy, Scotty Bernard. Step Great Grandchildren Nevaeh Egbert, DJ Brown, Jayleigh Brown, Karyzma Irving, Odin Egbert.
Survived by Sister Shirla (Larry) Montgomery, Sister in Laws, Joyce Oliver and Debbie (Rodney) Egan.
Services will be held on Tuesday Aug 4, 2026, at Midland 2nd ward, 3776 West 5375 South Roy Utah, viewing is from 9:30AM-10:15AM, Funeral services will be held at 10:30. Interment will be at Roy City Cemetery at 5300 South 2300 West Roy, Utah.
