Boojah Gill's Obituary
Boojah Gill passed away on March 2nd. She was born 1956, in South Korea. It was there that she met her husband Tim Gill. They married in 1995 and immigrated to Utah in 2000. They were married for 26 years.
Boojah and Tim were active charity marathoners, raising money for cancer treatment research. Boojah was an avid cook and caretaker of her husband. Boojah had a close and loving relationship with her in-laws, Charles and Ellen Gill. They gave Boojah her “Hummingbird” nickname. Boojah fell in love with their New England home and neighborhood, feeling most at peace smelling the ocean air.
Boojah was a stage 4 cancer survivor. Her indelible positivity and strong spirit significantly impacted the lives of all that knew and met her. She provided food, treats, and smiles to her doctors, staff, and fellow patients. Boojah would go out of her way, even when extremely sick, to offer help, a kind word, and a smile.
It is said in some cultures that the hummingbird represents joy. The perseverance of positivity through negativity. It represents the compassion in the things that you do. The hummingbird represents optimism and a playful outlook on life. The hummingbird is a strong independent spirit, and has the ability to adapt effectively to situations. Boojah’s “Hummingbird” nickname could not be more appropriate.
