Boyd Hansen's Obituary
Boyd passed away peacefully at home at 79. Born to H. Cleve and Melva Hansen in Salt Lake City, primarily raised in Logan, UT. Attended Logan HS. Boyd was a Sigma Chi and served in the ROTC while earning a BS at USU. After college he was commissioned as an officer in the Military Police where he was stationed in Georgia and California. Boyd continued his service as an Army reservist in San Francisco. Boyd married Pauline Schmidt, later divorced. Together they had children Brad and Kristen.
Boyd later married the love of his life, Jean Hansen. They enjoyed 35 years together mostly living in Hawaii and recently in Logan. Together they shared incredible happiness.
Boyd was passionate about his family, fishing, reading and pursuing the next deal. He always had a story to tell, an easy laugh and believed in the power of positive thinking.
Boyd is survived by wife Jean Hansen. Brothers: Douglas (Linda) Hansen, Richard (Coleen) Hansen. Children Brad (Kim) Hansen, Kristen (Ron) Hatch, Dynah (Bob) Geissal, Rick Geissal. Grandchildren: Alyssa (Mark) Smith, Jessica (Scott) Somerville, Jason Hansen, Taylor (Hannah) Janoe, AJ Hansen, Greg (Jennifer) Hoover, Gypsy (JB) Ray, Eric (Katie) Geissal. Great grandchildren: Dillon & Charlotte Smith, Thomas & Charleese Hoover, John & Morgan Ray, Lyon & Malie Geissal. Preceded in death by parents Cleve & Melva, sister Elaine Covert and grandson John Hoover.
