Bradley Lasater Aldous' Obituary
Brad was born in Washington D.C. on February 23rd, 1972 to John Kay Aldous, Jr. and Carolyn Lasater Aldous and passed away unexpectedly on March 1st, 2023.
In his youth, Brad discovered a love for music and began performing at an early age. He was very talented on the piano and as a singer. He began singing in the Show Choir while at Fairfax High School and also several other performing groups. Brad was also an avid athlete competing in basketball, football and Tae Kwon Do. Brad was a very talented martial artist and worked his way to a 2nd degree black belt. He later became both a state and national champion in the Junior Olympics. Through his love for football, he became a die hard Washington Redskins fan for life. Brad attended Brigham Young University after high school and relocated to Salt Lake City, Utah. After college he met and married Melanie Cox Aldous and had his first son, Kaden.
In his adult life, Brad rekindled his love of music, starting a long career as a professional DJ and Karaoke Host, where he shared his talents and encouraged many others to do the same. His career would later lead him to meet and marry Julinar Akshar Wingo Aldous, where he added three more children to his family. Natalia, Toryn and Channing. Brad later went on to become the Founder and Creator of Utah Idol, one of the largest and longest running talent competitions in the state of Utah. This became his passion, and the place where he made so many friends through his dedication and encouragement to help people discover and develop their own talents. He was there with a kind word, a compliment or encouraging feedback. He touched and enriched so many people's lives through his love of music and his kind and compassionate persona. Family was his biggest passion and the greatest love of his life and was a loving and dedicated son, brother, husband, father and friend. Brad has left behind his siblings, David Aldous, Cindy Nelson and Shane Aldous; his children Kaden Aldous, Natalia Wingo,Toryn Wingo and Channing Aldous and wife Julinar Akshar Wingo Aldous.
Memorial Services for friends and family will be at 6:30 pm on Thursday, March 9th at Premier Funeral Services, 67 E. 8000S., Salt Lake City, UT 84047
