Brady Joseph Monteclaro's Obituary
Brady Joseph Monteclaro passed away in a fatal car accident on Sunday, November 28, 2021. He was born on May 25, 1988 to Lyle and Dlaina Earl in Salt Lake City, Utah at LDS Hospital. Brady spent his first few years of life in Magna, Utah and then he and his family moved to Taylor, Utah where he grew up. He graduated from Fremont High School in 2006 where he played the baritone in the pep band and marching band. During high school, he helped Weber County School District develop a suicide prevention protocol where he went around to the various junior highs and high schools to present it to peer leader groups so that they could assist those struggling. After his presentations there were those that needed a listening ear and Brady would reassure them that they mattered and that they were accepted and loved.
He attended Weber State University for a few years before serving an LDS mission in the Tampa Florida Mission. After returning from his mission service, he continued his education at Weber State where he graduated with a Bachelor’s of Social Science with an emphasis in History. Brady had a thirst for knowledge! He had shelves lined with books and loved to read and write. He always talked about furthering his education and after working for a few years he went back to school and graduated with his MBA from Weber State University in 2021.
While he was working on his degree, he began working full time at Hill Air Force Base as an Administrative Analyst/Records Keeper in 2010. He helped run payroll for various divisions on the base. After working there for 11 years, this last summer he recently started working for Stellar Innovations Solutions Inc. which is a government contractor on the Base.
Brady loved so big! He had a passion for serving others. He carried blankets in his trunk for the homeless. At Christmas time, which was his favorite holiday, he would buy piles and piles of gifts for Toys for Tots. He wouldn’t just buy the toys and drop them off, he took it a step further by getting the names of the children he was buying gifts for and he would put so much thought into the gifts he was buying and he handpicked a special toy for that person. Gift giving was how he expressed his love for others. Whenever he was making a trip to the store he would always ask everyone he was with: “Do you need anything from the store?” or “I’m going to buy groceries, can I pick anything up for you?” Brady cared deeply for everyone around him no matter the circumstances.
Brady met his partner Paolo Monteclaro in March 2015. They loved living life to the fullest together. They enjoyed travelling to various places throughout the world. Paolo was excited to take Brady to meet his family in the Philippines where they spent a month. For Christmas one year they travelled to Australia to visit family. They also visited many states throughout the US and talked about retiring in the Florida Keys.
Brady had a love for movies and various TV show series. When he was young, he took his mom to all the midnight premiers of Harry Potter. Him and Paolo enjoyed going to the movies together as well and they loved watching TV shows like Scandal, How to Get Away with Murder, Law and Order, and House of Cards. Brady also loved all genres of music. Before he went anywhere, he made sure to turn on one of his favorite playlists or radio stations and knew all the lyrics to many different songs. He spent countless hours listening to all sorts of his favorite tunes.
Brady was an excellent cook and an even better host. He loved having friends and family over at his house and enjoyed hosting large gatherings for many different occasions. Paolo passed his love of Karaoke on to Brady where Brady would only sing after he had some alcohol in his system. Brady loved his dogs, AKA his kids. His best friend Mandy (his sheltie that recently passed away) was always by his side. He and Paolo also had four other dogs that they adored: Buddy, Baby, Doby, and Chester.
Though his life was unexpectedly ended way too soon, he had a positive impact to everyone he came in contact with. He’s loved by many and will leave a hole in the heart of everyone that knew him. In lieu of flowers, we ask that you donate to your local homeless shelter, the Humane Society, or Toys for Tots in honor of our dear son, brother, partner, and friend, Brady Joseph Monteclaro.
He is survived by his partner Paolo Monteclaro, his parents Lyle and Dlaina Earl, his siblings Lyndee Lloyd (Trent), Caralie Marchant (Tanner), Candice Carter (Caden). He is preceded in death by grandparents and many loved ones that passed on before him.
There will be an open house visitation on Sunday, December 5, 2021 from 5-6 PM after which there will be a memorial service from 6-7 PM. The visitation and memorial service will be held at Premier Funeral Services, 5335 So. 1950 W. Roy, Utah.
