From one year old, Braxton became a teacher to his parents. He began using sign language at 16 months old and then began reading at 27 months old. His favorite pastimes were signing his name on cards sent to grandparents, reading his favorite books over and over, watching Follow That Bird, Sesame Street, and The Wiggles.
Comments were always made on Braxton’s smile, his sweet disposition, being so well behaved, and worrying about the welfare of others.
Braxton graduated from Spectrum Academy High School on May 20, 2022. After high school he began working at Nielsen’s Frozen Yogurt in South Jordan and then in Holladay.
At the time of his passing, Braxton was working at The Wellington in Millcreek, Utah, a senior retirement center where he was a server in the cafeteria. Numerous residents loved Braxton and became quite close to him.
Braxton is survived by his parents Jeffrey T Cragun and Maria V Perry, his siblings Ayla, Malachi, Mylo, and Brody, his grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins who will miss his presence greatly. He was preceded in death by his grandfather David Rhees Cragun, his grandmother VeLoy Gregson, his uncle Bart Cragun, and his cousin Reese Gallegos.
A Celebration of Life and Funeral will be held for Braxton on May 21, 2025 at Premier Funeral Home in Roy, Utah for friends and family. Interment will be held at Washington Heights Memorial Park in South Ogden, Utah.
Braxton will be missed for his endless knowledge of movies, vintage video games, his capabilities for memorization, his smile, his love of learning, and all the ways he made us laugh.
