Brent Reed Christensen's Obituary
Brent passed away on his birthday after a long battle with cancer for the past few years. He was 69 years old. His bother Kevin was at his side for everything Brent couldn’t do for himself. His family loved him and will miss him.
Brent was born in Salt Lake City on March 17, 1956. He grew up in Holladay, Utah. As a boy, he loved Little League. He attended Cottonwood High School and went on to work in construction. He specialized in painting and maintenance and joined the carpenters’ and painters’ unions. He eventually was self-employed. He appreciated all those who used his services.
Family was important to him. He loved his family and enjoyed taking trips with them. He also enjoyed his many friends. His lifelong hobby was fishing in Utah lakes and streams. He loved being outdoors.
Brent is survived by his sister, Sherma Christensen, and his brothers, Glade and Kevin Christensen. His parents, Harvey and Beth Christensen preceded him in death.
Special thanks to his brothers, Kevin and Glade and his sister, Sherma for their care and support. Thanks also to Brent’s doctors and staff at the Utah Cancer Clinic, especially Dr. Whisenant who helped him with his greatest wish, which was “to live as long as possible”.
He will be interred at the Murray City Cemetery at 5498 S Vine St. Murray, Utah.
