Brent Hutchins' Obituary
Brent Hutchins, 61, passed away in Salt Lake City, Utah on January 24, 2021. He was born July 26, 1959 in Twin Falls, Idaho to Don & Barbara Hutchins.
Brent was a paramedic for Minidoka Memorial Hospital in Rupert, Idaho for more than 38 years. So many people in the Rupert area benefitted from Brent's compassion and skill. He was also a great crafter who could always look at something and then go home to his shop and make it. His favorite phrase was "I could make that". Brent was also an avid and talented gardener who was known for his homemade salsa.
In his later years Brent loved to travel with his best friend Jim, along with Becky and Anne. He made it to Paris, Hawaii, Cancun, Cabo San Lucas, Florida, Austin, Moab, Las Vegas, Palm Springs and New Orleans. But his favorite spot in the world was an isolated little seaside bar & grill in Cozumel where he could enjoy a beer, some great Mexican food, and look at the ocean.
Brent is survived by his best friend and caregiver Jim Ingle, his mother Barbara Hutchins, sister Shana (Don) Buie, nephews Cody and Kyler Buie, niece Kilha Fetterly, and Jessica Norris and Shawn Norris.
Brent was preceeded in death by his father, Don Hutchins and
sister Shari Hutchins.
Brent's wishes were to be cremated. A celebration of life will be held at a later date in the Rupert area. In lieu of flowers, Brent asks that you consider making a donation to the Minidoka Healthcare Foundation in Rupert, Idaho.
