Brent Dallin Pincock's Obituary
Brent Dallin Pincock was born on May 17, 1982, in Omaha, Nebraska, to David and FaDene Pincock. Brent was a singular person. He was deeply passionate, intensely disciplined, and unapologetically himself.
Even from a young age, Brent knew exactly who he was. He had several unique childhood phases where he wore only black or only camo. As he grew up, his fashion sense became quirky in a different and slightly less intense way. He loved to wear nice shoes, hats, bow ties, and goofy retro shirts. Although he never embraced it as a permanent look, he was a cowboy at heart - boots, mustache, and all. His exceptional taste also extended to music, movies, and decor. He was a trendsetter and loved sharing his passions with others. His incredible style and quiet confidence made him unforgettable.
Excellence was not something Brent turned on only when it mattered. It was simply how he lived
Brent was independent and hardworking. He had an entrepreneurial spirit and a remarkable ability to see opportunity everywhere, whether through paper routes, creative business ideas, or questionable business deals with siblings. Summers spent working alongside his Grandpa Booth instilled in him a deep respect for hard work and doing things well. Brent earned carefully, saved diligently, and spent intentionally. He understood the value of work, money, and stewardship from an early age, and these lessons stayed with him throughout his life.
He pursued everything with extraordinary determination and high standards. At Millard South High School, he competed in wrestling, gymnastics, and pole vault, qualifying for the state championships in all three sports. Despite his stature, he was known for his strength, agility, grit, and fierce competitiveness. He inspired others through his discipline and dedication. Brent was the kind of person who limited himself to one dessert a week and could do 100+ pull-ups, simply because that was the standard he set for himself.
That same commitment carried into academics. Brent attended Brigham Young University on a full academic scholarship and graduated magna cum laude in 2006 with a degree in Finance from the Marriott School of Business, recognized as the top student in his class.
Brent then built a highly successful career in finance and healthcare management, traveling the world and earning deep respect from colleagues. After 18 successful years, he stepped away to pursue a childhood dream: becoming a pilot. It brought him great joy and, more importantly, more time with the people he loved most. True to form, Brent approached aviation with the same discipline and dedication he brought to everything else, quickly distinguishing himself as the top student at flight school. Brent had a rare ability to fully commit himself to mastering whatever he pursued.
No part of Brent’s life better reflected his heart than his family.
Brent met his forever love, Becca, in Chicago as he was beginning his professional career and she was completing a summer internship while studying at BYU. He taught her to ride a bike on their first date, a story that perfectly captured Brent’s adventurous spirit and playful confidence. He and Becca were married for time and all eternity on June 19, 2010, in the Denver Colorado Temple. Even through seasons of long distance during courtship and frequent work travel during marriage, they remained deeply connected and inseparable. Their love was steady, enduring, and unmistakable from the beginning, and that remains true today. Together they built a beautiful partnership centered on love, adventure, laughter, and devotion to family. They welcomed four beloved children: Maya, Julia, Henry, and Emily. His family was his greatest joy and his highest priority. They built a life together that was full of adventure: camping trips, national parks, weekends at the family cabin in Idaho, city exploring, home projects, and countless ordinary moments made special by being together.
Service was Brent’s love language. He noticed people, paid attention, and remembered details about their lives. He cared deeply about others’ needs and quietly met them. Whether it was making each family member breakfast exactly how they liked it, creating survival kits for finals, teaching a sibling a new skill, offering steady guidance, or giving his specialized hugs, Brent loved through action. He made people feel included. He welcomed others easily, especially those who felt different or overlooked. Friends, neighbors, coworkers, and family all describe him as loyal, dependable, funny, thoughtful, and deeply kind when it mattered most. He had a mischievous smile, a contagious laugh, a quick wit, and goofy humor that was completely and unmistakably Brent.
Brent was also a devoted disciple of Jesus Christ. He lived his faith not only in belief but in action through love, service, and genuine care for others. At 19, he served a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Fresno, California, where he formed lifelong friendships with companions and converts, whom he remained close to throughout his life.
Brent passed away on June 23, 2026, while pursuing his dream of aviation. During a solo night flight from Salt Lake City to Idaho Falls his plane crashed in the mountain peaks east of Willard, Utah.
Though his life was far too short, Brent’s life was extraordinarily full. Brent loved adventure, motorcycles, road trips, flying, good conversation, and building memories with the people he loved. He leaves behind a legacy of fierce love, quiet service, discipline, passion, excellence, and devotion to family. He showed those around him how to live with purpose, work hard, love deeply, and courageously pursue what matters most.
Brent is survived by his wife, Becca; his children, Maya, Julia, Henry, and Emily; his parents, David and FaDene; his siblings: Kristyn (Aaron), Jeff (Amy), Janalee (Derek), Kortney (Chad), Brian (Brittany), Shanae, Mark (Bryan), and Nathan; his grandmother Ressa, as well as many beloved aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
