Brent Morgan Wilding
January 26, 1949 – June 15, 2016
Brent Morgan Wilding, born in Salt Lake City, Utah January 26, 1949. He passed away at his home in Taylorsville, Utah with his daughter and sister at his side, on June 15, 2016 at the age of 67.
He graduated from Cyprus High School then military service in the Army with a tour of duty in Viet Nam. He attended Salt Lake Community College and received his contractors license in construction.
He began his chosen profession of construction/ carpentry work with his father part time at the age of 16. He worked himself up to become a superintendent and proudly participated in the planning, designing and constructing of many buildings in and outside of Utah. Many family and friends have a piece of his handy work at their homes as he enjoyed helping others when ever he could and never expecting anything in return.
He grew an impressive vegetable garden with his Mom every year until her death, then proceeded to teach his daughter many gardening techniques. He enjoyed going camping and sitting around the campfire with family and friends. He was an avid hunter and liked riding his 4 wheeler and taking his boat out fishing. He liked to cook and held many BBQ’s while camping and at his home for anyone who wanted to join him.
Brent is survived by his 6 siblings Mickey (Robert), Dan James /Jim, Rex (Colleen), Sally (Ronald), Valerie and ClaDeane (Steve), his 2 children Tammy (Ezra) and Timothy, step son Rob (Julie), 2 grandchildren Lance and Cody, 1 great grandchild and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father Dan James Wilding, and mother Volena Hornstra as well as his younger sister Patricia.
Brent was well liked and considered a very good man. He was a generous and caring person who would give willingly anything he had if he thought you needed it. He was a pillar to all of his family. He was reliable and independent. He is well loved and will be missed by all who knew him. Our memories will sustain us.
A celebration of his life will be held at his home on July 16, 2016 for close family and friends beginning at 4:00.
