Bret and I were always buds. In first grade Bret demanded to be in class with his cousin; he walked into my class, they places a desk next to mine and he sat next to me. He put his arm around me and told everyone "this is my cousin". We finished the first grade sitting together...all those years ago. Bret had a big heart and a big smile. I'll miss him.
