Brian Alan Barnes' Obituary
Brian passed away from complications due to pneumonia on April 6, 2015 at McKay-Dee Hospital. He was surrounded by loved ones. He lived in Ogden for most of his life. But his beginnings started in North Carolina on June 2, 1965. He was born to Leslie Ann Culpepper and Bruce Alan Barnes, who are both deceased. During his early childhood he also lived in Virginia, Alabama, Okinawa and then eventually moved to Utah in the 5th grade.
Brian was a carpenter by trade and he absolutely loved the outdoors. Fishing, biking and hiking were amongst his favorite things to do. He was an ace at darts and loved playing video games and foosball. He loved music and playing guitar. And he loved driving in the snow, the slipperier the better.
He leaves behind his best friend and longtime companion of 14 years, Connie Robertson. He is also survived by his son, Brandon Barnes and sisters Diana Saline, Merry Rajniak and Maxine Evert. He has nieces, Lila Segura, Nicole Spencer, and Julie Heaps. Nephews are Shane Odekirk, Jesse Odekirk and Isaih Medina. He also has 11 great nieces and nephews.
Services for family and friends will be held on Saturday, April 11, 2015 at 5:00 p.m. at The 70th Ward Chapel located at 702 West 1300 North in Clinton. Please come and celebrate Brian’s life with us.
