Brian Keith Coltharp's Obituary
Brian Keith Coltharp passed away on October 27th, 2023, at age 43.
Brian was born on December 21st, 1979 in Lompoc, California to Keith and Catherine Coltharp. He spent his younger years in California, Colorado, Idaho, and Utah with his 4 siblings, then met the love of his life, Leslie, in his early twenties while residing in Colorado in 2002. They spent several years in Colorado where Brian loved living most, and started a beautiful family, resulting in 6 children: Alexa, Ayla, Brigham, Gemma, Harper, and Indyana. Though he struggled at times to express it, his love for his wife and children ran deep, and he proudly spoke of them often to his family and friends.
Brian was a talented musician and composed many songs on his keyboard and piano. His musical talent and keen ability to play just about any song was awe-inspiring. In addition to his love of composing music, Brian loved listening to bands like Def Leppard, Journey, Toto, Genesis, and many more. When able, Brian enjoyed taking his kids out to do fun things, and loved spending quality time with his family. Though his earthly struggles affected his quality of life at times, he was always passionate about the things and people he cared for. Brian also faithfully fulfilled multiple callings for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, and made many friends in the process. His musical talent resulted in his favorite calling and spent several years serving as the ward organist.
Brian is survived by his parents, Keith and Catherine Coltharp; his wife, Leslie; his children, Alexa (19), Ayla (16), Brigham (14), Gemma (12), Harper (8), and Indyana (6); his siblings, Heather Lee, Jennie (Ryan) Ritz, John Coltharp, and Cindi (Chas) Madsen; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, uncles, and aunts.
Funeral services will be held at 10 AM on Thursday, November 2nd at the LDS Church located at 860 N 350 W in Santaquin, Utah. A graveside service will immediately follow at the Spring City Cemetery located at 100 E Center in Spring City, Utah. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to his wife and children via Venmo to @Leslie-Coltharp.
Our world will be a little dimmer without our goofy and fun-loving son, brother, uncle, husband, and father, but we know he is being surrounded by love, and continues to live through all of our joyful experiences on this earth
