Brian John Parker's Obituary
Brian John Parker, beloved brother and notorious hellion, passed away on April 11, 2023, at the age of 51. Despite his best efforts to live a wild and reckless life, he somehow managed to survive until now. Brian was known for his big heart, his unique sense of humor and his uncanny ability to find friends wherever he went.
Brian was the 3rd and middle child born to Jane and Johnnie Parker. Born on FRIDAY, August 13th 1971 at Cottonwood Hospital. Which he was absolutely positive gave him good luck.
Brian grew up in Murray, Utah. He loved heavy metal music and Marlboro 100’s. He went through the 80’s breakdancing faze, wore checkered vans, played the trumpet and found his true love. His guitar. He had a gift.
Brian struggled with many things in his life. He wore his heart on his sleeve and in turn got it broken, many times. Brian had an extremely hard time when our mom died, which fueled his love of drugs to numb the pain. He made some bad choices in his life and was working on mending fences. If he didn’t make it to you, he was on his way.
He just ran out of time. Sadly Brian passed away at the same age and condition of our dad.
Brian married young and had 3 beautiful children that he loved with his whole heart. Their marriage shortly ended in divorce.
Brian is survived by his siblings Marlynn (Scott), Brent (Margie), Jaylynn (Jason) and Brendon (Nancy). His son Brett. His brother from another mother, Robert. And his service dog/son/best friend: Percyus. 5 Nieces and 5 Nephews.
Services will be held at 12 noon Friday, April 21, 2023 at Premier Funeral Services, 67 East 8000 South in Midvale with a viewing to begin at 10:30 am. Following the service the burial will take place at 2:00 pm Mountain View Memorial Cemetery, 3115 Bengal Blvd ~ Cottonwood Heights, where he will be laid to rest beside our mom.
In lieu of flowers, take your family on the most incredible adventure.
Rest in peace, brother. We'll miss you
