I met Brian shortly after moving into our home a few houses down the street from him in Eagle Mountain, Utah. We quickly became friends and he often stop by to chat after driving home from a job. I really enjoyed his cheerful countenance and hard working approach to life. We would talk about projects we were working on (or contemplating...) or about the gospel or latest world events going on around us. He was always a wealth of information and really took in interest in my life and others.
If Brian ever noticed a issue with our house, he was quick to volunteer to help out. Once Brian noticed some lifted/damaged roof shingles after a severe wind storm, came over with a ladder and shingles, climbed on the roof and patched it up for us right away! He was often a life-saver to us and the problems we encounter while living there.
Brian was one of the most giving persons that I've had the pleasure to know and will miss his smile and cheerful wave whenever he would pass by. He put into practice the commandment "Love Thy Neighbor" in his everyday life and I will always be grateful to be able to say that I had the pleasure to have once known him.
