Bruce Riches' Obituary
Our cherished husband and father, Lawrence Bruce Riches, died suddenly on April 4, 2015 at home in Sandy, Utah. He will be missed deeply by his wife, Suzanne, his daughters, Lindsay and Chelsea, along with his brothers and sisters and many, many friends.
Bruce was born to Phyllis and Bud Riches on September 12, 1951. He had fond memories of growing up in the Cottonwood Third Ward surrounded by loyal friends. His LDS mission to Taiwan was a highlight in his life. Bruce later graduated from the University of Utah and received an MBA from the University of Illinois. He loved The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and contributed tirelessly and willingly in many capacities throughout his life.
His greatest joy was his family. He married Suzanne Volmar in the Salt Lake Temple in 1975. His daughters Lindsay and Chelsea were the passion of his life. They shared a rich relationship full of laughter, happy adventures and deep talks. The family recently returned to Utah after spending twenty years in Highlands Ranch, Colorado where they made long and abiding friendships.
Bruce will be missed by his family: Guy Riches, Tina Cosby, Scott Riches, Peggy Larsen, Brad Volmar, Carolyn Nielsen, Scott Volmar and Paulette Cary, their spouses, and his nieces and nephews.
Bruce was loved by all he met. He had a vivacious smile, a firm handshake and an unlimited ability to forgive, love and serve.
