Bruce was my Bishop during a difficult time in my life.! I remember my conversations with him were always hopeful and loving. He was one of the kindest, quiet, yet easy to talk to people I knew! I found it easy to open up to him! He was always attentive to our family and we felt his care and concern was genuine! We will forever be grateful for having him in our lives! We send our love to his sweet family!
Bruce was one of my favorites. Always made me smile. When I was serving as a Ward Singles Rep many years ago, he and his wife were the advisor couple. I have fond memories of them both. Condolences to the family for their loss.
Late last night, I was driving home from Idaho and my wife informed me of Bruce's passing. There are a number of people who have touched my life, but Bruce is in my top ten. I cannot remember attending a Church leadership meeting that Bruce conducted where he did not leave his short, but powerful testimony of the Savior's divinity, love and of the restoration of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Bruce is one of the most humble, kind and charitable persons I have ever known. I am grateful for the example that he set for me in showing how to love and lead and his friendship. I am convinced that when people leave this life earlier than we think they ought to it is because they have done all they can for us here and must now focus on what they can provide for us and others beyond.
