What a perfect dad you were for me. I was encouraged to be creative and independent to prepare for adulthood. You made so many happy memories with us. When I went away to college, I remember you telling me to make good friends for it was the people who are the most important.
I cherish the example and council you and mom gave me while I was growing up and feel blessed because you made me feel appreciated for my part in our family.
Bruce was like my second dad when I was in my teens. His fatherly advice when I was struggling and the way he invited me along with family trips were such a blessing in my life. I remember many fun trips to the cabin, hot tubbing at the Homestead, and I’ll never forget Bruce’s patience as he taught me how to waterski at Lake Powell. I truly love this man and the wonderful legacy he and his sweet wife left behind. There must be one awesome reunion with his sweet wife and my dear friend Jeanne. I am so grateful for the impact the Wainwrights have had on my life. I’m so sorry for your loss, yet so very happy for those who have been waiting on the other side for this special man to come home.
