Bryan Reed Bills' Obituary
Bryan Reed Bills was born June 20, 1952 in Salt Lake City, Utah, to the late Reed Gordon Bills and Marjorie Young Bills. In 1963, Glendale, Arizona, became home to Bryan and the rest of the Bills family. As a teenager, Bryan participated in shot put, weight lifting, soft ball, and baseball, which he especially loved. As a young teen, he dreamed of becoming a Major League Baseball player. Bryan graduated 9th in his high school class.
Bryan was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
After high school, he served a Church mission in Denmark. In his later years, Bryan felt a special joy in serving as an ordinance worker in the temple.
Bryan was good with computers and took pride in his ability to build, repair, and sell computers. He was also skilled at optimizing systems. Whether it was a newspaper delivery route or an office’s filing system, he was quick to find solutions to inefficiencies. Additionally, when working in customer service roles, Bryan aimed to bring smiles to the faces of the customers he interacted with.
In his later years, he lived in Utah County and loved looking at the mountains, especially when snow had freshly fallen. He’d occasionally drive through the canyon and enjoy the beauty of the changing leaves. He relished telling the stories of his life and tried to inject humor into hard situations as he looked back on them. Bryan always told his daughters and grandchildren how proud he was of them.
Bryan was preceded in death by his siblings Jane, David, and James Michael. He is survived by his siblings Bruce, Julia, and Dan; his daughters, Jennifer (Alfredo), Becky (Nathan), and Suzy; and his six grandchildren.
A memorial service for the family will be held this summer. Bryan's final resting place will be at Utah's Dyer Mountain, where he spent many beloved summers in his youth.
The family wishes to send a special thank you to the staff at River Pointe for their care of and compassion toward Bryan during his final months of life.
