Burton Bruce Youngberg's Obituary
Burton Bruce Youngberg was born October 21, 1949 in Murray, Utah. He died August 1, 2015 surrounded by his loved ones. Cherished son of Burton Sund Youngberg and Loveeta Jones Youngberg.
He grew up in the Salt Lake neighborhood of Glendale where the fields were his playground, catching pollywogs and exploring the outdoors. He played the cornet and always had a host of pets, rabbits, fish, hamsters, cats, along with his much loved boxer dog Honcho. He attended Glendale Elementary and Junior High schools and graduated South High School, class of '68. As a youth, he worked at many jobs; dishwasher, janitor, construction and farming. He enjoyed history and reading. His dream was to have a farm - he loved all of God's creations. Most of all he loved people, his kindness and selflessness shined through even in his ill times. He cared for his father during his five month bout of cancer.
Survived by mother, wife Yvonne, daughter Christina, brother Robin Kent Ljungberg, sisters Sherrie (Lou) Bingham, Terri (Ralph) Negrette. Preceded in death by father, grandparents and beloved cousin, Richard Balak.
Bruce had a deep faith in God and the Bible's future promise at Revelation 21:3, 4.
Thank you to the doctors, nurses and professionals that cared for and put so much effort into his healthcare over the years, the last of which was Canyon Rim Care Center. Special thanks to Bristol Hospice for making his last days peaceful with dignity and kindness.
