I will always remember Grandpa singing his special song to me. He used to tell us all about his cars. I loved visiting him. I’ll miss you Grandpa.

Hi June. Therese Allen Nelson (Bruce's daughter) writing from Chicago. I will never forget the time Calvert fixed our Volvo's serious problems after we drove it across the country with our 3 little children not knowing anything was wrong. His work was greatly appreciated, because we were very poor graduate students at the time and he gave us a super cut rate as well as lots of stories, and we found our family connections! He will be missed!
My first memories of Calvert were from the family turkey farm in Antimony. That would be at least 80 years ago. He has been unfailingly kind and friendly to me ever since. He danced with me in high school, he (and June) visited my parents Irvin and Alice Allen in Circleville when he could include a visit during his trucking runs, and they made the trip to attend my 80th birthday party in Junction. Calvert and I shared the indelible memory of the sad day at Circleville when he had to tell Ches and LaPrele of Lark’s death in World War Two. Calvert, I wish you Godspeed, and June and family, I wish you healing and good memories. Love from cousin GuenavereAllen Sandberg.
Dear Sister Allen, Allen Family and Thomas and Katrina Appiah, we are saddened by the news of the passing of your husband/dad. We send you our love and prayers. We hope that you are comforted at this time. The Costley Family (Jerry, Carol Hannah and Emma)
Uncle Calvert living so far away I didn't see him very much. On one of his trips to Grandma Rapps house He took a real interest in my old CJ 5... He ran a compression check on it for me and said that I had a good motor.... He also told me about passing sports cars and Cadillacs on those high mountain passes with his little diesel pickup truck. Secret weapon was fuel injection! Thanks Uncle Calvert.
I will always remember the twinkle in his eyes. He will be missed.

I will never forget my Dad and Uncle Calvert sharing stories or the time Uncle Calvert drove up into the mountains so we could see snow in th summer. I don’t know which was whiter, the snow or my Mom’s face from her fear of heights! Rest in Uncle Calvert. Love Julie
