Cari Beth Herrera's Obituary
Cari Beth Herrera, 52, of Herriman Utah, passed away on October 13, 2024, after a 4-year battle with Colorectal Cancer.
Cari was born on June 12, 1972, to Brian and Carol Christensen in Pasadena, Ca. After Cari finished Highschool in 1992, she went on to study early childhood education.
She started working as a nanny prior to graduating with an associate's degree in early childhood education, as a pre-K teacher at Merrywood Palm Valley, kickstarting a 25-year career in education.
In 2004, Cari met Ernie at the 24hour fitness in Cathedral City, CA. They were married in Douglas, Wyoming July 1, 2006. Cari Beth and Ernie Shane went on to have 2 children, Tayler Shane, and Ryleigh Beth.
In 2021, Cari retired due to the cancer treatments and spent her time thrifting, selling clothes on poshmark, going to Target, gardening in her beautiful backyard, living each moment to the fullest. Lived – Laughed – Loved
She is survived by her Husband Ernie, son Tayler, daughter Ryleigh, Mom Carol, Dad Brian, brothers Eric, Robert, Cory, sister Bekki, and a number of aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
Services will be held at Draper Barn in Draper, Utah on November 5, 2024, from 4:00 pm – 10:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to @CariHerrera on Venmo or Zelle - Ernie Herrera 801-209-0484.
