Carma Owens' Obituary
After a short illness, Carma Owens, age 90, passed away on Saturday evening, October 30, 2021.
Carma was born April 24, 1931, in Inkom, Idaho, to Delbert and Iva Buchanan and is one of 9 children.
She married her high school sweetheart Edward Lewis Owens, January 7, 1948, in Reno, Nevada. They lived in Watsonville, California for a number of years. Ed and Carma had 3 children, Linda Mitchell (Tim), Edward Owens, Jr. (Patricia) and Lisa Carlson (Carl). Carma is preceded in death by her husband, Ed (1996), and son Eddie (2021). Together they have 8 grandchildren, Karen Duffy (Jim) Layton, Utah; Terra Richardson (Scott) Layton, Utah; Derek Gasaway (Amanda) Fayette, Utah; Monica Grows, Falls Church, Virginia; Jessica Owens, Georgia; Shane Carlson, Syracuse, Utah; Evan Carlson, Syracuse, Utah; and Breeanna Carlson, Oceanside, California; 23 great-grandchildren and 10 great-great-grandchildren.
Carma loved spending time with her brothers and sisters whenever she could. (The sisters were well known around the area.) Carma also enjoyed the monthly lunch gatherings with her dear friends, Berniece, Charlene and Janette. And she enjoyed traveling, shopping and scrapbooking outings with her daughters.
Carma will be greatly missed and forever loved by those who knew her.
Funeral Services:
Viewing, Thursday, November 4, 2021 from 6-8 pm. at the Kaysville 12th ward building.
Service: Friday, November 5, 2021, at 11 am at the Kaysville 12th ward building on Crestwood Rd., in Kaysville. Viewing from 10 – 11 am on Friday.
Interment at the Kaysville Cemetery on Crestwood Road in Kaysville.
