I had the privilege of meeting Orin in the SLC Airport on my return from Denver and he told me of his sweet sister's death. Having experienced the death of our oldest son I grieved and know somewhat of the pain. I was part of Orin's flight training and recently retired after 16 years at UVU. If Carmody is anything like Orin, she was definitely a special, gracious and wonderful girl. I express my love and condolences to all of you. Rick, I am so sorry to hear about your daughter passing away. I only saw her picture and she was a beautiful young woman. I am thinking of you and your family and your mom and dad today.

We are so very sorry for Carmody's passing. I thank you for your wonderful example of hope and love for all mankind. We love your family dearly and pray for you often.
I only was blessed to meet Carmody once or twice in passing, but her spirit is what really stood out. I am grateful for all that she has done for her family, her friends, her residents, and Mike. You could tell that she brought out and helped to strengthen and nurture the best in everyone.
We thank our Heavenly Father for his great plan of resurrection, and for Jesus Christ for going through the pain that she suffered, the grief that we are trudging through, and every little hurt anyone in the world will ever come in contact with. It is because of this plan and this great sacrifice that Carmody continues to serve on the other side of the veil, and it is because of this that we will all be able to continue (and even strengthen) our relationship with her in the eternities.
Carmody was a bright spot in our daughter's life. I appreciate how good of a friend that she was to Sara and how she helped her through the low times and shared the good times. I was able to talk to her a few times when Sara would skype me and also was able to meet and speak with her a couple times when I was in Utah. She really had such a sweet contagious smile and fun spirit about her. Our family is so sorry for her loss on this earth. It will be up to all of us to live up to her example so we will be able to meet again. God bless your family and keep you.
I loved living next door to you last year, Carmody. You could always make me smile and laugh. You are such a sweet, wonderful woman, and I know you will continue to bless many lives on the other side of the veil.
