Carol Wanda DuBreuil's Obituary
Carol Wanda Chaffin DuBreuil, beloved wife, mother, grandmother and friend, passed on from this life on December 29th, 2012. After a long struggle with poor health, her frail body couldn’t fight any longer and she was summoned home to her Heavenly Father.
Carol was born on October 5, 1939 in Las Vegas Nevada. She married her best friend and teenage sweetheart Bill DuBreuil on June 22, 1957. They were later sealed for time and eternity in the LDS Los Angeles Temple. Together they raised four wonderful children. Carol found immense joy in being a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. She loved the gospel and was passionate about sharing it with anyone who would listen. She strived to live a Christ-like life, and was a shining example to all around her.
Carol loved her family unconditionally. She always strived to teach her children the importance of living a good, honest life, and led by example. To her grandkids, she said that she always wanted to be the “cool” grandma, and always had a house full of goodies, games, and love to back it up. If you were to ask any of her children or grandchildren who was the favorite, the answer would always be the same: “me.” Carol had the amazing gift of making every single person she came in contact with feel special and important, and to her, they genuinely were.
She truly loved everyone and loved to serve wherever possible. Because of the service she selflessly gave, Carol held many church callings throughout her life, among them Relief Society president and Young Women’s president. However, her favorite calling she ever had was teaching Gospel Doctrine, because it was only ever His service she was striving to emulate. Though it was her career, Carol served by selling Jafra Cosmetics for 45 years because she loved to help everyone look and feel their best. She truly loved to be a friend to anyone in need.
Carol is survived by her devoted husband Bill, her 4 wonderful children, Lisa, Linda, David and Steven (Angie), her brother Bob, 16 grandchildren, and 20 great grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be at 11:00 am on Saturday, January 5, 2013 at the Union Fort 5th Ward Building, 6770 South 500 East, Midvale, UT. Viewing will be on Friday, January 4, 2013 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at the church and one hour prior to the services. Burial will follow the services at Elysian Burial Gardens.
